正文

Article 1
For the purpose of this Convention, the term [vessel] includes all ships and boats, of any nature whatsoever, engaged in maritime navigation, whether publicly or privately owned; it excludes ships of war.
    第一条  
    本公约所称的“船舶”一词,系指不问属于任何性质,从事海上航行,无论公有或私有的一切船舶而言,但军舰除外。
Article 2
Children under the age of fourteen years shall not be employed or work on vessels, other than vessels upon which only members of the same family are employed.
    第二条  
    凡儿童在十四岁以下者,不得受雇用或工作于船舶上,但船舶所使用的人员仅为同一家庭成员者,不在此限。
Article 3
The provisions of Article 2 shall not apply to work done by children on school-ships or training-ships, provided that such work is approved and supervised by public authority.
    第三条  
    凡儿童在教学船舶或培训船上所作的工作,如该种工作系经政府机关核准并受其监督者,应不是适用第二条的规定。
Article 4
In order to facilitate the enforcement of the provisions of this Convention, every shipmaster shall be required to keep a register of all persons under the age of sixteen years employed on board his vessel, or a list of them in the articles of agreement, and of the dates of their births.
    第四条  
    为便利本公约各项规定的实施起见,每一船长应置备一名册,将在其船上所使用的所有十六岁以下的人员姓名及其出生日期,予以登记,或在协议条文中列一名单。
Article 5
1.Each Member of the International Labour Organisation which ratifies this Convention engages to apply it to its colonies, protectorates and possessions which are not fully self-governing:
(a) except where owing to the local conditions its provisions are inapplicable or
(b) subject to such modifications as may be necessary to adapt its provisions to local conditions.
2.Each Member shall notify to the International Labour Office the action taken in respect of each of its colonies, protectorates and possessions which are not fully self-governing.
    第五条  
    (一)凡国际劳工组织会员国已批准本公约者,承允将本公约实施于其殖民地、被保护国及未完全自治的属地,但同时得依下列规定办理:
    (1)由于当地情形不能适用本公约者,予以除外;
    (2)酌作必要的修改,以使本公约的规定适应当地情形。
    (二)每一会员国应将其对于其每一殖民地、被保护国及未完全自治的属地所已采取的措施,通知国际劳工局。
Article 6
The formal ratifications of this Convention, under the conditions set forth in the Constitution of the International Labour Organisation, shall be communicated to the Director-General of the International Labour Office for registration.
    第六条  
    本公约的正式批准书应送请国际劳工局局长登记。
Article 7
As soon as the ratifications of two Members of the International Labour Organisation have been registered with the International Labour Office, the Director-General of the International Labour Office shall so notify all the
Members of the International Labour Organisation.
    第七条  
    国际劳工局局长于国际劳工组织两会员国的批准书已经国际劳工局登记时,应即以之通知国际劳工组织的全体会员国。
Article 8
This Convention shall come into force at the date on which such notification is issued by the Director-General of the International Labour Office, and it shall then be binding only upon those Members which have registered their ratifications with the International Labour Office.
Thereafter this Convention will come into force for any other Member at the date on which its ratification is registered with the International Labour Office.
    第八条  
    本公约应自国际劳工局局长发出前述通知之日起生效,其效力应仅及于批准书已经国际劳工局登记的会员国,此后对于其他任何会员国,本公约自其批准书已经国际劳工局登记之日起生效。
Article 9
Subject to the provisions of Article 8, each Member which ratifies this Convention agrees to bring its provisions into operation not later than 1 July 1922, and to take such action as may be necessary to make these provisions effective.
    第九条  
    凡会员国已批准本公约者,如适合第八条的规定时,承允实行本公约之规定,不迟于1992年7月1日,并采取必要的措施,使之切实有效。
Article 10
A Member which has ratified this Convention may denounce it after the expiration of ten years from the date on which the Convention first comes into force, by an act communicated to the Director-General of the
International Labour Office for registration. Such denunciation shall not take effect until one year after the date on which it is registered with the International Labour Office.
    第十条  
    凡批准本公约的会员国,自本公约初次生效之日起满十年后,得向国际劳工局局长通知解约,并请其登记。此项解约通知书,自经国际劳工局登记之日起满一年后,始得生效。
Article 11
At such times as it may consider necessary the Governing Body of the International Labour Office shall present to the General Conference a report on the working of this Convention, and shall examine the desirability of placing on the agenda of the Conference the question of its revision in whole or in part.
    第十一条  
    国际劳工局理事会在必要时,应将本公约的实施情况向大会提出报告,并审查应否将本公约的全部或局部修正问题列入大会议程。
Article 12
The French and English texts of this Convention shall both be authentic.
    第十二条  
    本公约的法文本与英文本同等为准。
